Hi. I don't have an answer to your question, but now I'm wondering if the amount of EQ boost affects battery life.

If that's the case, then it's really going to be difficult to even estimate how long the battery would last.
I used to do the tongue test before each gig, but stopped when I started second-guessing. Then I started putting a new battery in for each gig, but that gets expensive so I bought a battery meter for $15-ish. If the batter tests below 7 volts before a gig, then I replace it.

Music Man say most users can expect a minimum of 300 hours of battery life. I don't know about the basses but with my Cutlass guitar I could get below 5 volts with no obvious degradation in sound.
