Hello,

You guys have been so helpfull eversince I joined this forum, so I have another question. ;)

I own an Axis Super Sport with MM90's and piezo. There's a battery at the back of the guitar to reduce hum and to power the piezo electronics.

Now, is the battery turned on as soon as I plug in the cable in my guitar? Read: should I disconnect the cable from my guitar every time I stop playing? Or does this nog affect the battery life??

Thanks!!

Yep, you should always unplug your guitar when not using it to preserve battery life... I wouldn't bother doing this on breaks at a gig - the batteries last for years under normal use... Just don't leave your guitar plugged in always...

When the battery goes dead, everything still works fine, you just lose the Silent Circuit, so you'll have a little more noise in the circuit in less than ideal conditions....

Safety Notice!!

Leaving your guitar plugged in on the stand causes a trip hazard. I know you don't care about a drunk roadie tripping on stage but he might. Also there is the guitar safety issue as well. Koogs will respond if anyone needs further clarification on this issue.
