Hello,
before my last gig I really wasn't sure about the charge of the battery in my Ray. So I had to remove the battery to measure the charge, and I thought that it would be nice if the basses would have a battery power LED...I think it is technical easier to add a power led to the basses than to add a game changer ;).
What do you think about the feature of a battery power LED?

Greetings from Germany

I don't know, ...I believe it's a wastage of battery power.

From my experience, ...no matter how often You play, every 6 months is proper period to change the battery(es) and no need to check the voltage, just change it with fresh one!

I usually just check them periodically with a multi meter. Is there a voltage level where they should be replaced? like 7.5V or something like that?

An LED would be great because I can't wait the 10 seconds it takes to remove the battery from my bass to check it with my tongue. 10 seconds is far too long for me to find out if my battery needs replacing - I want to know instantly! And while you're at it, EBMM, 30 minutes is too long for a pizza to be delivered to my house - I want it now!

First world problem.

My 2 cents,

EBMM, Keep building Awesome instruments for player and we can be responsible for looking after them from there :)

With practice and gigging as often as I do I just change them out monthly. That's just me though.

Strange, the Batt-O-Meter did not work with any of my EBMMs. It did, however, work with other brands. I inquired about this with the seller, and he said that it did NOT indeed work with EBMMs. Do they have a new model out?

If you need an LED, put one in.

I wouldn't trust the LED. For example, the battery meter on my wireless unit (three-bar gauge) is close to useless - I get no comfort in what it reports as it had repeatedly indicated "good to go" then promptly decided to check-out.

I test my batteries periodically, especially before any critical gig, and stay safe. It's proven to be a very workable solution for me.

What about a DC plug? That way you could go battery-less! Though, you'd probably need a long ac adapter.

add that to the 1st world probs list.
