I've been eying a beat up black Silhouette (HSS config) at my local guitar store for about 6-8 months now and they've finally dropped the price from $699, to $599 and finally down to $399. It's had the tuners changed to locking tuners, (the old tuner mounting holes still exposed) and the pickups are fender lace sensors. They actually sound pretty nice.

The guitar itself is pretty scratched up, with alot of neck wear. Would it still be worth their $399 asking price?

If it plays good it's worth it for a player that you don't have to worry on messing it up or you could do some restoration work and fix it up some . Make them a lowball ( no pun ) offer and see what they say....can't hurt !:)

I was trying to get them down on the price for a long time when it was at $699, and the most they would knock off then was $30-50. At $399 they may not feel that they need to negotiate much...

$399 for a player Silo? if you can live with the cosmetics and like how it plays, that's not a bad deal at all. That's SUB 1 prices on eBay.

A Mint condition used Silo with easily run you twice what they're asking.

See if they'll let it go for $350.

Are you from the Central Ohio area? I think I have seen that guitar. I agree with the others - now that they have lowered the price into a reasonable area, if it plays well it is worth considering
