The axis neck pu'p is just so sweet - I love mine.
Looks great mate, bet it sounds the same.

Saw a great Morse on eBay ... basically new and returned due to a stress crack and with a great BIN ... couldn't help myself!
This thing is mint. Still has the tags on it!
Have to say- it's quite different than my old one. Neck profile is (of course) different, but same as the Y2D. The blue is much darker by comparison- doesn't show in the pics, but in person it's quite deep. Also it's quite a bit heavier than my old Morse. But ah, the little things like the new bridge (like on the Y2D), rounded heel and comp nut ... this bad boy will get a good playing on the weekend
Better pics to follow- here's all I've got at the moment.

Yeah, the BL thing is a bit of a saga. But bottom line, Bill and Becky make great pickups and are great to deal with.Did the Axis bridge add any highs to the new Morse, or is it still mid heavy?
Absolutely! My '91 is my main guitar, desert Island guitar. I'm actually fond of no body contour, has never been a hindrance and I find it keeps my picking hand over the guitar vs hanging off the edge. A contour would be an interesting project though- I'd love to see that! Would be tough to do it on a Y2D, but on a Morse it'd look, though you'd have to re-finish the contour with something ... maybe black? Is the Morse your main axe? If not, is it due to the lack of contour or something else? I have been seriously thinking about giving one of mine a contour to prevent any right hand injuries. I really tweaked my RH about 6 months ago - just doing waaay too much playing and not warming up and stretching enough...duh.

Damn, well I hope your hand gets better. You've got incredible technique so I'd hate to see you have to slow down![]()
