Hello to all,

I've been sneeking around this forum the past couple of days and thought it about time to log myself in. January 2nd 2004 I ordered a Steve Morse signature at the store here in Belgium and had to wait untill November 8th 2004 until it came in. But what a blast
Jeez, I had 13 guitars at one point but none of them can compare to the EBMM SM signature. Since I ordered the SM with tremolo, I decided to order another SM signature with the stop tail in January of this year. Scott told me at that moment that the Y2d model was on its way at the winter NAMM show, so I decided to order that one and I'm looking extremely forward to playing that beauty.

I will try to hook up some pictures in the near future and I'll definitely start a thread for a DOB, but that will have to wait until tomorrow.

My current collection: EBMM SM signature, Gibson LP Standard, Gibson LP Studio, Gibson J200, Gibson LP Junior, Fender Highway1 Strat and a custom made Telecaster (my uncle made it for me, guitar is signed by all current Deep Purple members). Nevertheless, a few LP's and the Strat will have to go to welcome my second EBMM. It won't be the last I'm afraid :p

Thank you EBMM for these amazing instruments. Just wondering why almost none of the guitar department stores here in Belgium has EBMM guitars in stock? They all have EBMM basses, but guitars, no way. Very strange. Any comments on that?

Enough for now I guess. Hapy to be on the forum.

Cheers, Tom.

Welcome to the forum, Tom. I am eager to see what the final Morse Y2D models will look like. That de-Purple burst is an awesome finish.

Most of us here in the States have the same problem with dealers carrying EBMM basses but not guitars. It's like Sterling Ball said, Music Man is sorta known as a bass company that also sells guitars, much as Gibson is known for guitars more so than basses.

Hey Tom. Welcome to the group. One of the guys that does steve morse's website (Alwin) is also belgium based. I met him on the january tour. Really nice guy.

Several of us here are Morse fans going back many years including Beej, me, Norm, Tommyindelaware, and fsmith. Big poppa and Jongitarz may also be fans

Norm's already ordered the new SM model.

BTW Jan to Nov is the longest wait I've seen yet, most of us it's 3-4 months. Kudos to you for not going batty while waiting!

I'm thinking my next Ernie Ball will be the Steve Morse, or the JP7, let me know what the differences between the new Steve Morse and the old, besides the missing pickup.

Oh yeah, welcome to the forum.

Scott.

I will as soon as I get my hands on the instrument.

BTW, I ordered the SMY2d sig in Purple Sunset, w/ premium quilt top and stoptail.

That thing will definitely rock.

I'm also a big Steve Morse fan and met him several times by now backstage at DP concerts. Hope he'll ever come to Belgium with the Dixie Dregs or the SMB. I know that they will be touring Europe with Living Loud this year, at least Germany and the UK. I'll try to catch a date on that one. The US guys get treated to yet another DP summer tour, so you guys are once again very lucky.

I went to the Melbourne, Australia, living loud concert, and they rocked, they floored me, go see them if you get the chance.

I'm so tempted to buy a SMY2d, but wouldn't might seeing if there are any sound differences between them, l'd say probably not, but you never know, the SMY2d looks so freaken cool though, l love the clear scratch plate.

Now l'm hanging for you to get your new guitar. DAMN!!!!!!

Scott.
