Hello,
I recently aquired a Benji Madden Musicman guitar that was setup for 10's. From what I have read from the forum, it came out with 12's. I changed the strings to 12's and intonated it. It sounds great for drop tuning. I was wondering if anyone had the specs for the action on this guitar. It seems a little high, but not sure. Especially for it being dropped tuned. Any help appreciated.:):):)

Email customer service- they should be able to tell you. But... if you think the action should be lower- then lower it! I guess with 12s you should be able to get the action fairly low.

Hmmm....I wonder if I would have stuck with the lessons longer if my teacher had started with the 'chug' rather than actual notes and reading music. ;):p

It really doesnt matter WHAT guitar you do it with ...BUT the nut has to be Widened and the neck WILL need to be adjusted to compensate for the greater tension......and of course intonation .....The point being is that in order to cop THOSE tones you need to do what the artist is doing........and thats why the Benji guitar came that way ....because its how you bring the LOW chug ...the amp can only produce the freq's given ....hence the heavy strings and low tunings ....it brings the chug!.....hehehehe
