What's your current playing ability and ultimate aim? That will limit the choices a little.

I go to Musictech College in Saint Paul, Minnesota. Terry Burns(head of Bass dep.) has written 4 books for the students here that are excelent and cover everything you need to know to be a working/pro bass player. They have changed my life and I know they will help pretty much anyone no matter what level they are on. I don't know if you can buy them online but I can buy them from the school's bookstore for a litltle less then 20 bucks a book. If you are interested I could help you out in aquiring 1 or all of them. Just thought I'd throw that out.

I got a lot out of Patrick Pfeiffer's
"Bass Guitar for Dummies" . Lots of cool stuff in there.

Has anyone seen the Victor Wooten Solo training video?

Know of any Tony Levin training videos?

Does anyone have the "Classical masterpieces for Electric Bass?"

I've seen the victor video and I'm not a big fan of it. I love Vic's playing but I don't think he does a very good job of explaining how he does his techniques. It's ok but I wouldn't buy it. Luckily my school has a hundred or so bass instruction videos/dvds.
