Ok summer is here so what is the BEST deal that you have found at a garage sale.
Music gear is really the best choice here but if you have a killer deal on another item why not share.

To be honest in my close to 50 years on this planet I have never found anything at a Pawn Shop , Flea Market or Garage sale that had wow factor. The best I ever did was found a Les Paul type copy but it had a smaller body in a garbage can when I was about 16, and the thing sounded killer. I think it must have been made in Japan and I could not even recall the name. I had it for about 4 years and lent it to a friend and never saw it again. I have friends though who have hit the jackpot in a Pawn shop.

here are some of the things that I have picked up.
Silver face 4x10 Fender bassman $100.00
Hamilton guitar stand($50 new) $2.00 Today
Laptop $15.00
New in box palm pilot $1.00
Electar tube amp $2.00 Today.
Now and again you find some cool stuff.
Still waiting for a Music Man Axis or Morse.:D

Let's see... a friend of mine if a yardsell/goodwill store junkie. I've gone with him a few times and have got some pretty sweet deals...
Set of Ben Hogan EDGE CFT Irons in 8+/10 condition $29.00 (new about 600)
I bought a Cleveland HiBore XLS Driver for $54.00 (retail about 275)

My co-worker got a $200 golf back for $10... (i had just bought one at $200 a few days prior)

but have not done yard sells...

No hijack here my friend, staying on topic with the " Best Garage Sale Deal's ". You're just jealous because I got a better deal on my slightly used rubber fist than you did on your used golf clubs! Sorry if I didn't sing my response back to you Pete..:)

BTW, last weekend I got a great deal on slightly defrosted fish sticks - originally from Montreal Quebec - 2 boxes for $0.50 baby!

If I were you I would call the frozen fish company customer service before I eat them, I heard of somebody that died from food poisoning after eating that stuff.
But $0.50 men, thats really cheap!

A black Fender Princeton with silver grill for $50. Of course what was odd about it was the faceplate was brown. After much research and realizing it had been spray painted, I had an original '62 Brown Princeton in my possession! Restored it back to original with some elbow grease and some replica grill cloth.

I always stop whenever I see a yardsale/garage sale. But in all my years I've never found a closet classic of anything. :eek: I'm still hopeful though :)
