So last night, my dad, brother, and i conducted our own little poll of the best cover of Bob Dylan's "Knockin' On Heaven's Door".

Guns n' Roses won.

I would say GnR did the best reading of it.

I would agree Guns N' Roses. However, I have never liked the babble that Axl does in the middle of the song. If he would have just sang the song it would have been better in my opinion.

While the GnR version is good, I agree that it is ruined by Axl`s babbling( not a fan of Axl just Slash), with that said the 1975 cover by Clapton is great!

guys guys guys. The mighty COLD CHISEL in 1980 did a version, the smokin guitar tones are the best ive heard. You need to hear it!

Hendrix' version of All Along the Watchtower comes to mind, but I'm sure there are other great Dylan covers out there.
