I have played the Stringray (four string) and thought it was outstanding. I have not seen or tried the others. For fusion jazz (such as Weather Report), what other bass by Music Man would be good? I currently play a Fender Jazz bass from the 70's.

Too bad Andy West from the Dixie Dregs doesn't join Steve Morse and produce a Andy West model bass from Music Man. I remember Andy using an Alembic bass (which was fretless if my memory serves me correctly).

Any of them. You'll find the Sterling is most like the Jazz in terms of "feel" having a similar neck.

Dave Larue from the Steve Morse band uses a Sterling.
