Ok, so it's 3 am and I'm pretty sloshed ... but I've had about the best weekend ever!

The spread Big Poppa put on was second to none! Sterling treated all of us like we were a part of his family- I'll never forget it- I feel so lucky to have spent the weekend with such a tremendous group of guys and I am really, really grateful.

(Too many names to mention!) But hanging with all of my bro's on the forum, all of the amazing staff at EB and the artists, and the weekend's events ... including seeing, like, every prototype ever was an experience I will cherish for a long long long long time.

BP- thanks for making this one for the books! More stories in a coupla days when I'm sober  Maye even some of the Luke ones if I can find one to tell in public :p

A few highlights for me:

1. Meeting all of you great guys - Beej, Glenn, Chuck, Scott, Fred, Dave - like Beej said - too many to mention...
2. Big Poppa's stories - The Keef Richards call
3. The prototypes
4. Tony Levin's three string
5. My touching moment with Jon in the men's room last night - wait, did I say that out loud?
6. The concert
7. Our mission to "pants" Jim Marshall

Many more - too tired still...

kbaim,

Thanks again for picking us up at the airport! I intended to give you some gas (G.A.S.?) money when we went to the Firestone, but then Tommy had to return to the airport and I ended up walking down there. Sorry, man. I'm going to put a few extra bucks into a Katrina relief collector's can on your behalf.

Loved your playing at the Fri night jam, bro. Great, clean technique you have there.

No charge for airport pick up or drop off guys. It was nothin.
Koogs wanted to pay for crashing at the hotel a few nights, and I was like, yeah right I'm gonna charge Koogs

...then me, koogs, mobay, mobay's wife, and daveb go out to dinner (swordfish, fillet's) at this nice place overlooking the ocean on thurs and Koogs scoops up the check before anyone knows what happened.

Also, and this was great. Me koogs and daveb were playing guitar in a hotel room in SanSimeon with the door open on thursday before heading out for dinner, and this dude walks by with his wife and small child. Turns out he's a seattle guitarist on a surfing trip who plays professionally. Hadn't picked up a guitar in a week and a half.

He tuned the guitar to some weird tuning and started plucking away on an original that sounded killer. Our jaws were on the floor.

I like to pretend that I don't even know there's a guitar forum here, but might I be the first forum bassist to say that I was in awe of the talent over here?

Bovine.....you are a spectacular player and I enjoyed our talk about getting out of the "business"....gives me something to look forward to.

Big Poppa.....my God.....I sincerely Thank you from the bottom of my heart. You are the most generous person I have come across in my life. You took care of us like no one else. Your have a heart of gold that cannot be contained in Fort Knox! I cannot emphasize the amount of fun I had. It was a very emotional event for me. Being that I am at work....I must end this now, but will post more later tonight. I have a ton to say, but most of all

THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!

Keep an eye out for my post....I will give the play by play like Phatduck and others! Pics will be a few days.....

I owe glenn a handshake and a hug.

Seems glenn came down with something like the ebola virus and by the time I dropped him at the airport, he was coughing, sneezing, and could barely talk.

feel better glenn. get some sleep and some RX.

PS Celtics suck :D ...of course, so do my LAKERS :(
