My qustion is about the BFR guitar cases? Are they similar to the 20th Silo guitar cases in the sense that the interiors have more room for the guitar's body, rather than the tighter form fitting regular Music Man cases? Thanks.

Indeed they are.

Not sure of the context behind your question, but I'll also add that my BFR case for my JP and my AL are different inside than the case of my 20th silo. Different shapes inside for the silo, baically a piece in that one that fits nicely into the lower bout of the guitar. If your looking to buy a case to place a non bfr/20th guitar in you may want to go with the BFR case.

There is more room around the guitars with the 20th & BFR cases, but IMO the actual fit is much better.
The neck is supported way better and the body secured by the case with the guitars at a slight angle.

I'd hardly call the regular cases "Form Fit" - sure, they are the same approximate shape, but the guitars can move around plenty.

EDIT :

Just remembered the regular cases were updated last year, and might be different - someone else will be able to confirm this.

I can only comment on the previous regular cases. :)

Interesting stuff. My Limited Edition 08 case seems a bit loose to me. What I mean by that is my Silhouette Special has about 2 inches of free travel to the left or right of the case when closed. While there are two molded pieces on the top of the case which appear to keep the guitar from moving up/down...they don't restrict the guitar from sliding to the left or right when the case is closed. I’ve often thought about adding some foam to the cut-out for the rear strap button to keep the guitar from moving around in the case.

I’ve seen the 20th Silhouette’s case (in pictures) and that molding for the lower horn looks like it would create a more secure fitting for the guitar. Of course, I’d have to see it in person to know for sure…one day very soon. :)

I've seen the pictures of the 20th cases with the molding that goes into the lower horn. It appar

I have a non BFR/20th guitar that fits nicely in the 20th case(the lower bout piece fits well with the guitar), and I was just wondering if it would fit into a BFR case as well.
Thanks!
