Well, this old thing arrived on Friday. What a letdown....

The top on this is stunning, and I couldn't have asjed for a quilt that was more to my liking.

For a review of the guitar: I'd say it's a bit brighter and punchier than a standard JP. Overall sounds 'bigger'. Fit and finish was stellar. The neck finish was a little sticky. I chalk that up to being so frikin humid here over the weekend. Once I played it in my basement where it was a bit cooler, I didn't notice that at all.

Edited to add: The case is so nice as well. I'm afraid to carry it around for fear of scuffing it up. I've got to get another EB SKB.

AND thanks to Pete, JP, and the guys at EB for making it happen.

I can't seem to get the color 100% right. It's a really deep chocolate color. Not as red as it appears.

Is the BFR JP neck like the matte finish on the Bongo or is it like a fender gloss neck?
