I have a few questions about the "Ball Family Reserve" instruments.

1. Are they limited editions, or full production models?
2. Why aren't they on the MusicMan website?
3. If these are signature models, then does that make the other instruments, like, not signature models?

1. Production models, for now. They are not really limited, but it has been stated that the BFR line will change often.
2. Because it's hopelessly out of date ;)
3. Er...what?

3. Are the John Petrucci, Steve Morse, Luke, Albert Lee, and Benji Madden guitars just normal instruments, as opposed to signature models?

Man, the MusicMan website needs to be updated, pronto!

All signature models are used by the artists who signed it, they take production models and you can consider the BFRs to be based on these models but with different woods and finishes........
hope I'm not wrong anyway one of each is the way to go!!!;)

JP and Luke BFRs will probably be available on a continuing basis. Other BFRs? Well, we don't know yet. Nothing has been announced. There have been some BFRs like the 20th Anniversary StingRay 5 BFR that are very limited (only 10 made) and the special Luke BFRs from Guitar Center with the Bahama Blue finish and Sparkle back (only 10 made). So, we don't know much more than that right now. Nothing else has been announced for production.

BFR is basically whatever the Ball family wants to produce in however many numbers.

Our IT department has been working tirelessly on a new MM web-site and we are getting really close to launching(allthough a time table has not been announced) I was given a tour of the new Interactive MM sight yesterday and I was blown away, it is a great web-site and will be worth the wait guys. There are a lot of really cool features, clips and history that you will be able to access. So stay tuned......you won't be disapointed!! In the mean time.....the answer to almost any question can be found using the search function.

Cheers!

They're probably going to produce a BFR 6 string Bongo as a John Myung signature.
