How come I see some JP's have the bridge pickup facing different directions? I know that switching the way it faces changes the characteristics of the tone but can anyone answer me what tones each way faces are best for?
On the JP6 he has the bridge pickup flipped so that blade of the D-Sonic is facing the neck (essentially backwards) but on the JP7 he has the blade facing the bridge. Not sure I remember the specifics behind why beyond the fact he liked how the pickup flipped backwards sounded on the six string, it made it a little thicker I believe.
Thanks guys, something to play with then hehe. If all goes well I should have my first Ernie Ball this Wednesday and a black burst quilt BFR JP6 at that
