Went to a Guitar Center near my job because I finally saved up enough to pick up my first EBMM. They didn't have any JPs available but had a few Silos and a BFR Luke which looked amazing btw! Anyways asked one of the guys to help me out, and he called EBMM and they said that they had a JP6 BFR in flame trans black ready to go so I sealed the deal :D They will have it shipped to the store so I can pick it up from there. It should be there next week, I really can't wait!!! :D After checking this forum out and reading all the great things that people have said about these instruments I couldn't resist buying one. I really hope it's as good as everyone says. Just wanted to share my excitement with you guys :) Will definitely post pics up when I get that baby home!

The wait is the worst part now, at least I am lucky that it's not going to be too much of a wait :). By the way are there any accessories that you guys can recommend for me to maintain the guitar? Is there any certain type of fretboard oil that works best and maybe some special polisher? Anything else that I might need? I currently own a Jackson DKM2 and I wasn't really taking care of it as much, so I want to make sure that doesn't happen with my JP. Thanks ;)

pick up the wonder wipes: polish, fretboard cleaner and the new black cleaning cloth (all by Ernie Ball) and you should be set... i've used a lot of products on other guitars and by far the best are the wonder wipes...

oh yeah... and a JP wouldn't be complete without a Dimarzio Clip Lock Strap... :)

I used to use these as well until the strap clip was banging against the side of my guitar near the bottom button chipping away the paint on the side on my RG7620. I wouldn't dream of using this strap on my BFR for fear of the same thing!

Doesn't EBMM throw in a polish cloth in the case? The new one, I mean?

Woof at that guitar choice! Gonna look sweet, for sure!

Congrats on your purchase! I'm sure you will love it.

Mine did came with a polish cloth, the yellow one. Any particular difference with the black one?

The black one is microfiber, and I'm assuming washable. A great polish cloth that should last you a good long time.
