Quick little update on this... I informed our misinformed friend as to what the real deal was and credited by source, and apparently he said that it's his local music dealer that's been telling him this.

Whether or not the guy is an authorized EBMM dealer, he didn't say.

I hear that a lot, this is not the first time we've heard on these boards that misinformation stemmed from a music store. Salesmen seem to say anything they want, and most don't know a thing about Musicman guitars.

It's funny - I always get the impression when i play my BFR jp6 as opposed to my bare wood "regular" jp6 that the neck on the BFR is thinner and wider. I know its not true as i have measured it because i don't comprehend how they just feel so different... but are both to the exact same specs.
