In celebration of my soon the be 50th birthday,I decided to treat myself to a new toy. In a couple of weeks,I will have a BFR Sterling 4 HS,Emerald Green, quilt top, maple board. It was the only HS in Green that I could find anywhere. Question, were these a limited run,or are the still being produced on a limited basis? I just wish EB would have made these in a 5 string. Oh well. Finally getting my dream Sterling!! Good times..:D

And you're going to send me my dream Bongo 5 HHp! Good times for all. Definitely need pics. I'll post some sweet pics of the Bongo when I get it! I wish the mail wasn't so freaking slow. Letters take FOREVER now.

Sterlings rock & I prefer them over any other EBMM myself. Rock it son!

Since this is the pro Sterling club... we like the Sterling H, HS or HH best? I've had the H & HH. I kept the HH thought it could do most of the H tones plus a lot more stuff the H couldn't do.
The singled bridge pickup in the H in parallel was better than my HH in series but the difference is pretty mild & probably semi-lost in the mix.

THat is mighty fine. I think phatduck has one of the early ones from that run. Beautiful finish. Um, for a green bass, that is.

They weren't intended as a limited run but were only produced for about a year. They were introduced at Summer NAMM on June 20th 2008 and the last day to order one was October 15th, 2009. They really are incredible sounding basses.

Arrived 5 minutes ago safe and sound. Stunning is the only word I could come up with to describe how this one looks. The case will be put away for safe keeping. It's too nice to use! Playing a gig with it Saturday and I can't wait!
