BFR string advice please?

Hi guys,

I was talking about changing the string gauge on my BFR JP6 for months now.well i finally took the plunge today&it feels like a new guitar.
the fret buzz is gone and it feels better to play overall.

my question is i was told by some of you guys and some experts that i might have to tighten the trem claw screws and adjust the trussrod after doing this.i must also make sure the bridge is flat&level with the body of the guitar.
well i didnt touch the trem claw screws but i did adjust the trussrod(clockwise to lower the action)as i thought the action was a bit high and it seems to be perfect.
the intonation also seems to be ok.

Just wanted any of you guys who have done this before to make sure i have done this correctly?

Just my 2 cents:

the trem claw is not a must - it's just something one has to do sometimes when changing the string brand or gauge, as this is a way to set a floating trem level again. If the bridge is level, the intonation correct and the string height is comfortable - then You could have done nothing wrong. Adjusting As many great musicians have said - if it feels right to You, it's right!

As for the fear of doing some irrevocable changes to the truss rod - I adjust the thumbwheels (not much, but considerable) from time to time for some years now, and so far all my babies could withstand it. I actually don't think You can harm or damage Your neck if everything seems right and straight and there is no buzz.
