Mark my words, this time next year a Big Al 5 will be mine.

I just have to wait and see how the pickup variants will develop and if a piezo option will be possible. I wouldn't mind it as a 5 strings in the 3 single coils version with piezo. We'll just have to wait and see.

However BP, this one you just took out of the oven, looks gorgeous!!

Bravo!

Sign me up! That thing is sweet. The only reason I got rid of my Big Al's was because I am a 5 string player and just can't go back to a 4 banger. When will these things be ready to order? Beaver is gonna be getting a call from me tomorrow. Awesome!

Dear God!

BP, do you own a white swivel chair and a cat? I'm sensing evil genius at work :)

The Big Al5's look so perfectly proportioned... What can I sell? it's only money <sigh>

This is exactly what i've been waiting for. I'm ordering one as soon as the pricing is released.

BP, I have to ask the obvious questions (forgive me)

1 - Is the bass equipped with a 9 or 18 volt system?

2 - Is the pickup Ceramic, Alnico or Neodynium based?

3 - It appears that the bass is both active and electronics, is that correct?

4 - Is the neck profile the same as the Sterling 5?

5 - Is there a phantom coil pickup mounted under the humbucker?

Thank you !!!

TD

guys please try to be patient...we have a show to get ready for and these posts are torture not introductions. I know you are all excioted but entitlement is creeping in

But Thronton to answer your questions.....

1. 18V

2. It is the best pickup we have made to date. It is the H out of the 25th...ceramic magnets would to stingray specs on bongo bobbins

3. Actice passive

4.Same profile as the sterling 5

5. No phantom coil

Any more questions for the CEO? Thanks Thornton
