Since there seems to be no such thing as a Big Al owners group, i think we should start one to share our experiences with that crazy tool for tons of tones.

So here I go:

The bass just sounds awesome with the genz benz shuttle or with my Peavey Pro Bass 500 and my FMC 4x12 Neo-Cab.

I am mostly playing Bridge pickup, active mode with slight bass and mids boost. Midopa... does Unit 00 still approve of AL?

Sweet.

I think you can rephrase that to, "The bass just sounds awesome with (insert gear here)"

:)

I am sure about that, but this is what i recently tried :D

I like bridge and neck together in active mode with the bass and low mids boosted a bit and a little cut in the treble... and the passive serial sound is killer too especially with a pick.

How do you adjust your pickups? Or did you leave them at the factory setup?

I agree, the orange swirl is awesome on the Pearl White. Of course I like the maple better ;)

I finally put the bass down after three months straight of playing it and not touching my other bass. The other bass is going to get this week's gig, but since I have now figured out how to play all my bands songs on a 4 and a 5, I feel I can actually switch at will these days.

The gig pics below were from a cool venue in Chicago, that we hope we can get in on a regular rotation. We had a good crowd and the booking agent for them keeps asking us to play other dates, so we're excited.
