I went down To the perfect bass today to play a big al I want one and found the lable to be very helpful except with the push in buttons.. I did a google search with no answers.. If each button is pickup selector or on/off then with all the buttons in or out thebass should make no noise so this can't be right.. I tried the metal to pickup pole trick to see which ones were on but could not get a sound out of any of them.. Different magnets? Anyways what do they do? I'm getting one but would love to know what I'm doing when test driving it..

Spencer,

I would have loved to have given you a test drive. I didn't know you were there! Do you live in the area? If so call me before you plan on stopping by and i'll make sure I'm there to help you. 225-751-3220

Why didn't you ask one of the helpful guys at the shop?

The only guy I saw at the time was the guitarist he usually helps me out and knows way more about than your average guitarist yet even I wasn't sure.. We both knew it was picup selector but I didn't understand how it would work with all buttons pushed in or out but now that I see the chart it is very clear just as I thought except none pushed in is 1&2 coils..

I went in to try out an aguilar amp they had and compare it to my little mark which mysteriously kept cutting out. I thinknits had to do with wiring in building, it has only happened once at my house. I have yet to confirm it still works at my own house and it was the first time I ever used speakpn connection with it.. Anyways I didn't get to fool around with it much but for the seconds my little mark worked I prefered it's tone, but I like my amps to work too.. Which the little mark didn't..

Anyways I saw their big al and instantly wanted to play it I can't right a fair review as I was confused half the time. The tone to me was very bongoish which to me is a little smoother than a stingray or sterling..

Anyways thanks Brant for the offer! I'm semi local, it's about 30 miles from my house and I plan on stopping back to check it out with my new understanding. Slight chance tomorrow large chance this weekend..
