Big Al color query

Greetings, folks. After lurking---and lusting---on this board for some time, I went and registered.

I think I know the answer, but to confirm: has the Big Al ever been offered in Blue Dawn or Pacific Blueburst? I'm thinking "No" on both, but perhaps they will be in the future.

I'm pretty sure that both of those finishes had been discontinued by the time the Big Al was introduced. I've never seen a BA in either of these two finishes.

That's what I was thinking...here's hoping for a re-issue of either color, 4SSS, white pearloid PG, rosewood fingerboard (though I'd also take maple), matching headstock.

To go with the (discontinued) trans orange Sterling 4HS, and the DDII 4HH Bongo. Then I'm all set for EBMM.

Why do I want what's discontinued, or what I can't have new?

The new finishes are going to be introduced this weekend at the GC Philly show. There might be a new finish that you just have to have. I'm sure there will be lots of photos of the new colours posted here by the time Saturday rolls around. Stay tuned.

I'm aware of what it said, if they don't introduce new standard finishes for all the models this weekend, they will at NAMM if not sooner. And of that you can rest assured.

If your looking for a Bongo 4HH DDII, Bass Central still has one. I bought mine from them and Beaver told me he still had 1 left. Give him a call. I love mine and since I got it, it has become my main bass.

Yes, I'm (painfully) aware that BC has at least one left, and they're less than two hours away by car. Saw one there in the flesh last spring while visiting my mother...unfortunately, money's tight right now.

That Sequoia Gold 4HH ain't bad either, if the DDII goes before I can get it, not sure if I like the gold HW...then there's always used...

Then get the last DDII Big Al!

Then look for a new place to live when my wife kicks me to the curb.

Very . . . . . . I'm dreading seeing the 2011 Classic colours I just spent 5 mins drooling over the ocean blue roasted Rays.
