Big Al in Action....

Played a Halloween gig last Thursday where the Big Al made it's debut. Here's a couple of shots:

I dressed up as Angus Young, it was a lot of fun. The Big Al was very, very impressive. Loved the Series mode, felt like I needed to put a sign in front of my monitor that stated "Warning: Big Al in use". Very aggressive, great punch and just a fantastic instrument.

Completely different feel/sound from my Stingray, and the EQ on the Big Al is damn impressive. I never had an opportunity to try a Bongo, so I can't compare. But if it's anything like the Al, I'm sure it's pretty sweet.

Very nice!

This Big Al seems it's gonna be a very cool bass, no matter to it's brave design, but what I heard from Ed's online presentation this 3 single coils really sounds great. My personal favorite sound is coils 1+2 (from bridge side)!

Wish You a many more such a nice gigs! All best! ;)

P.S. ...one Question: how is the balance when You put it on the strap!

Agreed, perfect balance (same as the 'Ray), no neck dive at all. The Big Al feels lighter overall than my Stingray and the neck is fantastic. The Big Al neck has more of a satin like feel to it, whereas the Stingray has more a raw Gunstock feel.

Probably not the best description, but they feel distinctly different.
