I know there's some Hammond fans around here!

Here's a sample from a session we did a few weeks ago with Hammond great Kevin Burton. Absolutely one of my favorite Miss Nick walking bass lines. She recorded in passive mode, direct, all pickups on.

This is a pre-mix sneak peek, can't wait to get this project mixed and mastered. We recorded live to 2" tape for analog goodness.

If you dig what you hear, head over and wish her well at USC as she starts music school:

Thanks in advance everybody!

Can't tell you how much I like that!

A great Hammond means so much to me. Just bought my second B3 clone (the new SK1) in a year.
And that track proves you don't have to play it with all drawbars out with the Leslie goin 500 RPM to get a great sound, now do you!

And I'm living vicariously, it appears my kids got all of mom's talents, and none of mine.

Did you ever find a replacement bass player?

Kevin Burton is one of the best, for sure. Those SK1s are nice, even Kevin digs them.

I have a list of first-call bass players, but she will be tough to replace. :/
