Like the title says... Because I have a HSS which of these basses would fill in more of the blank for me? I play different genres of rock most often. I know the humbucker placement is different on the Bongo HS compared to my HSS, how much difference though? Are there some really cool tones on a SSS that I am missing with my HSS?
The other thing is, I may have found a deal on the Big Al.
Bongos can be found at nice prices often enough.
The Big Al has a bit smaller neck I know. Is the Bongo similar to the 25th (I think it is right)?

Thanks guys

I played a Big Al SSS not too long ago and really liked it. I plan on getting one some day too but I really love the Bongo's. There is not a Music Man bass that I don't like but the Bongo's are my favorite by far. Play both and see what works best for you.

At that price you can't go wrong but I'd strongly vote for a stingray\Sterling HH or HS. You NEED an Ernie ball with a bridge H in the sweet spot

I decided to go ahead and get the Big Al. I already have a trade lined up for a Bongo HS IF I don't love the Big Al (meanin Neck most likely). A Stingray is on my short list for sure.
Wow, one Ernie Ball bass and I am hooked..I gotta have them all. I am selling 2 very nice effects and parts I had for a FrankenFender to score the Big Al.

The Big Al will be here Friday!
I talked to a buddy of mine who is a tattoo artist about whipping something up to go under a clear pickguard. I am thinking sort of oldish looking parchment (to tie in the maple neck some, plus just looks cool) with American Traditional style Flash art that he is going to paint on the paper. I realize the space underneath the pickguard is tricky to utilize potentially but hey, he is the artist and I trust what he will come up with. I'll definately post pics on my NBD, as well as when I get the pickguard art done.

Just as sort of teaser here is a pic of part of something my tattoo artist buddy painted. His name is Tim Strating, he tattoos at Anthem Tattoos in Gainesville, Fl.

Not exactly what I want, but that is the style I am going for. I REALLY like that eagle...
