Best video from BPL so far. I love hearing the passion and the stories come out of your mouth BP. In my humble opinion, it is that passion that really sets you all at the next level, and allows your stuff to continually innovate. At a minimum I appreciate it.

Great video, awesome groove and as always, love what you have to say about this stuff.

OHHHHHH YOu Tube It helps us tell out story and there is no edit...coupla musical clams on my part...I just dont get to play enough but I love it and playing with ferraro is just the best...he taught me so much as a bassist....How about Dave Marotta and Jennifer Young? Stan and Juan...Im like wheres waldo. I do have an excuse....Capt Don is my witness....I was showing someone how to light this giant smoker with a torch the night before and burned the majority of my left palm.....Thats my story and Im sticking to it. It just now healed.

THat classic series Stingray is pretty sweet though! One trick pony? huh?

that was cool.

BP is really very very good on bass.

The fingerstyle playing of Dave Marotta blew me away. Awesome touch and tone. I need to find out more about him.

My thought after practicing tonight and watching this video is there is NO WAY any of these basses are one trick ponies... there are too many tones available.

And, I am also proud to be a Bongoloid :)

BP you are wicked...not only did you stand up and play tight among these crazy-good players, but you did so with a hand that made me cringe when I saw it! As always, Jackgowild (the consummate drummer) kept it way in the pocket, and the rest is youtube history. Keep the vids coming, it makes it easier for me to sell your stuff! -Capt. Don

It's the trans white--shipped to me yesterday. :D

Great video, BP. Really enjoyed the phenomenal playing and excellent storytelling. Thanks for everything, especially for not dropping my new Classic.

Thank you. Hearing all you great players and seeing the passion in BP's eyes when he talks about hier approach to bassbuilding just showed me again why i like to play my EBMMs that much.

As i said before: Hats off to BP. Great attitude, great instruments!

Question for BP...

BP: since you were there for the DEVO of the Sting Ray..and you're fave Bongo as we know is the BP Single Pickup version, my question is..how was the Sweet Spot determined for the original single H? Was there a bass with a pick put in different positions, and Leo used his ears (however damaged) to get the right sound, luck? Just wondering.

Again, yes that bass is sweet..

Thanks
MK

yes Leo put it there and it was the sweet spot...

I love the BOngo and play it mostly...(remember you guys see everytime I play live.....I did 5 clinics the CLB party and this one.... this year.I am rusty. I would love to play more and would not embarass myself if I could get about 10 gigs in a row.) I used to get to play more..... But I play ALL of our basses
It was a blast playing the two band stingray at the BPL....Backing down the treble and boosting the bass slightly with a flat mark bass sounds pretty good in that video to me....I love the Sterling and was my go to for many years... I could take any one of these bass to a desert isle.
