Mr. Sterling,

I was sitting in class earlier today day dreaming about coming home so that I could play my new JP6, and then it struck me. I'm not sure if it's the same for everyone else, but it took a lot of mistakes in my choice of instrument to get to this point, and boy am I glad that I chose EBMM.

My first experience was with an early Mystic Dream JP. I was 15 or 16 at the time waiting to participate in a Guitarmageddon thing at Guitar Center, and as soon as I picked it up and played some riffs from the Dream Theater song Overture 1928, I was immediately hooked. I dreamed about owning a Ball until a few months ago when I had some student loan money left over and I decided it was time. Time to buy my dream instrument, and that I did.

We truly are blessed to have such a great leader in the guitar community here on this message board personally communicating with us and staying close to the customer. It's truly an amazing thing, and after all the bull**** I've been through with other companies this truly brings a tear to my eye. I feel not only honored, but blessed to be able to show everyone not only at Berklee College of Music, but everyone else that I know everywhere in the world that the guitar that I choose is Music Man, the finest instrument that I have ever laid my hands on.

After witnessing the wonderful comradery of not CUSTOMERS, but truly FAMILY in this community of axe slingers.. I felt inspired to write this.

I know that I'm pretty new here, but I had something that I felt needed to be said. I'm sure I speak for the rest of the board(family) when I say:

THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That is all.

God bless you, dude.

I can remember that when I was 18, back in 1993, the build quality of EBMM guitars were already legendary. I tried an EVH in the store back then, and stupidly chose a JEM. I wished I got the EVH (It was PINK QUILT!!!) Even up to now, I still attributed build quality to EBMM, and was totally satisfied when I got my first EBMM almost 14 years later, a JP6. and I'm up for more... Got a Silo coming in soon, and I'm on the hunt for either a 20th, or a RWASS.

EBMMs are hard to beat. Even if you go boutique. It's hard to argue that a PRS which CLAIMS to be better made than everybody else in a set neck configuration is more solid than a bolt-on EBMM. My JP6 sustains like it's on steroids... I would put any EBMM against the likes of Suhrs, Andersons, Tylers etc etc... The only guitar I think some could comfortably think could possibly be a wee bit better made would be a DeTemple. But even then, I'd take that bet that it's at most on par. And the DeTemple is 2 times the price of a BFR. Ouch.

The only reason why I keep my strats is simply for the patrimony. The nostalgic heritage. And the occasional Clapton-wannabe posings... whahaha...

I played EBMM (a bass;)) for ten years before I signed up for this forum. It's so nice to see that the company that made my bass, that's been a source of so much joy, is made up of such warm, honest, wonderful people. It's so obvious that they care a lot about what they do. :)

Isn't it a wonderful feeling when you first play a Music Man guitar and you wonder "why the hell did I play anything else?"

My friend....you have spoken the truth!

Congrats on the JP...heres to many more Balls in your stable!

It took me too long to join the EB family - but I feel that I now have the guitar that will stay with me. It is good here on the forum and I value the camaraderie.

Amen.

When all you read these days are stories of CEO's screwing their companies stockholders, customers, etc., to leave with millions. Companies raid their employee pensions, and then slam the doors to run and hide. It sure is inspiring, that there are folks that can be successful, build a quality product and just be decent people. From what I read here, BP may not be getting much sleep at night, but something tells me, he can, when he wants to. Bravo, BP, Bravo.

The "family" feel, the customer service, etc., are all important, but it's the end product that matters. And EBMM guitars are excellent. The rest is "icing on the cake".

Come to think of it, that not a coincedence: it all flows together, and starts from the top.

awesome post man, thanks! And of course I have to sign under your words:

Thank you BP!

It just had to be posted and show some love to a mastermind who delivers one of the finest (if not the finest ever) instruments in the world! And yeah, it's really great be in touch with Mr Sterling and all EB Crew here. It gives a special feeling based on particular kind of treatment, contact between a small, distant customer and well known and respectful guys! It's priceless! THANKS
