Looks nice. The magnets on the pickup look like they're flat (ie. not raised or anything). Am I right?

Those pole pieces LOOK flat in the photo but are not. The E and G are a raised a bit, the A and D somewhat more - the usual suspects.

I am holding steady at just two Stingrays and the two Bongos.

Things were getting a little out of hand there for a while, and I may not even keep both the 'Rays. The new one is a slap-damned killer. Really even response from all the strings, comfortable neck and profile and sounds like a punch in the head. Plus I kind of like the sleek, stripped-down "we don't need no stinking paint" look to it.

So, at the moment, I have:

1. Bongo 5
2. Bongo 4
3. Burnt Apple Stingray
4. Natural Stingray
5. Fender Custom Shop NOS 64 Jazz
6. Fender RI 62 Jazz
7. Fender MIA Jazz 97 (might be sold)
8. Reverend Rumblefish 5L
9. Reverend Rumblefish Brad Houser 5

And then some stuff in the closet that I don't talk about.

I think that's reasonable, don't you?

Yeah, the Inca Silver Jazz is on hold for a friend of mine who is raising the money....it's a GREAT bass, one of the best MIA Jazzes I've ever played, but if I'm going to play a Jazz (and I do, sometimes), I play the Custom Shop. Why not, right?

The Burnt Apple Stingray is in limbo. If I'm not going to play it much, why keep it? And that natural finish Stingray is out of control!

Still thinking about it, though. It sure is a pretty one and I haven't give it much of a chance just yet.

Ah, okay.

1. I didn't think you were serious.

2. I don't really like to use this place to buy/sell.

But what the hell, if I sell it, I'll sell it for what I paid, which was 800 plus shipping.

No wonder I never make any money at this!
