Around Xmas time I worked at an Albert Lee clinic in London.(See this thread) This involved setting up guitar stands changing strings on guitars. It was whilst changing strings that I used a Planet waves string winder/cutter and realised how good it was.

So On a Xmas thread I posted that I wouldn't mind one in Santa's stocking - but alas to no avail!!

Tony contacts me after Xmas and says he has a spare one and would I like it?
I thank him for his kind offer and I've just received it today.

(I'm sure Tony won't mind me saying this ... ) but he addressed it to Cardiff but left out "UK". It has been on it's travels and I know that it's been to Portugal ha!

Tony - thanks man. I hope you got "the small package" I sent you.

I'm knocked out by things like this that happen on the forum - it's gotta be the best forum representing the best guitars!!

Spud, glad it got to you (at last). It took me a while to get it to the post office (went to NZ for vacation), and it apparently took more of a world tour than I did.

Ok I’ll try not to make this too sappy...

I think to fully understand why this place is so darn cool we have to look back and honor Mr. Ernie Ball... such a hard worker and really seemed to have a great sense of family, which in turn carried over to Mr. Sterling Ball... and the Ernie Ball Music Man company.
With such a high standard and expectation level from the beginning we as knuckleheads really admire those core values. In the short 5 years I’ve been around here (off and on in the beginning) I have grown to not only appreciate the Ernie Ball Music Man Company but the model of family and friendship that can be obtained through music. It's great to see the involvement that the company has here and the gratitude that Sterling expresses to those around him. Naturally when you surround yourself with folks good things usually take place... and this forum is no different. I have really been blessed getting to know some of the guys here on the forum and share good laughs (Browndog I still dare you to de-friend me) and help one another out when we can.
Thanks Sterling for hanging out with us and proving such a great place to share our love of amazing guitars (and basses), music and gain some amazing friends.

Sometimes it amazes me when I check out some other locales on the web and see the ridiculous amount of hostility and idiotic comments directed at other posters. I know we are "fan boys" of EBMM but what is the problem with being civil and courteous with each other?
