So, as some of you guys may know, I called up Pete and had traded in my RW JP6 because it wasn't meeting my needs in the tone department lately. The downside of being a teacher or axe for hire is rarely you get to play the music you like to play all the time. The JP pups and the 24th fret/pushed neck humbucker simply wasn't allowing me to reach the tones that people wanted.

So.... I went in the totally opposite direction and picked up a 25th! :D

I've been noodling with it for the past couple hours, just got it today, but will get back to after my little gig tomorrow night.

Sounds absolutely wonderful and bright, and the cleans I can achieve from this thing is amazing. Like Brad said, this thing is an oozing Tone Machine.

As mandatory, quick pics, I'll see if I can get some better pics up later. These pics do not do the insane amounts of birdseye on the neck any justice.

I'm a tiger stripe kinda guy, so I picked up one with a flamed top, hard tail, and RW FB. :D

Congrats, Steve!

The JP is awesome, but if you are looking for something more traditional HB-sounding but also with different sounds and cutting edge features, the 25th is going to put a HUGE smile on your face.

Enjoy!!! :)

Nice score!

I was going to snag that one and ended up with it's maple necked sister.

Awesome, Steve. Simply Awesome. Sorry to hear you had to part with the JP6. I'm sure you'll get another one day. For now, you can enjoy that beauty. PS - If I ever bought a 25th, that's the exact config I'd want -- flame, hardtail, RW FB. Simply stunning man.

Steve that is one nice guitar. That was unexpected, I didn't know you were getting one.

Yeah, for me too. That's the part that sucks about being a college student on a budget. If I had the means, I would absolutely have held onto my JP.

So sad letting her go, but it was a choice of pragmatism in the end, and fortunately for me, what I had to settle with, is pretty damn awesome. JP's will still be around, the 25th, to this extent, not so sure, so I had to step up. :D

25th Owners Club Baby! Thanks for the kind words everyone.

I feel your pain man. I am in the same boat. I had an accident at work so I'm out of an income until the doctors clears me :( .

Too many things I want
