As I told you earlier I was looking for a replacement after I sold my Strat. Well, things doesn't always go as planned, and this wasn't what I had in mind. But I found it at a guitar sale at a huge discounted prise. The MM90's sounded amazing – high output single coils with a unique voice. I fell in love with it's simplicity – no bindings, maple top or matching headstock. Just a plain simple rock'n roll tone machine. And the best thing: this guitar didn't cost much more than I got for my Strat. Now that's what what I call a good deal.

very nice and simple----very KEITH!!! Maybe some white MM90 covers would give some contrast.

That would be cool!
It's too bad the MM90s don't come in a chrome finish. (maybe a future LE offering?) ;)

Personally, I really dig that black-on-black look... my advice, mico, is don't change a thing...

Dude, you gotta love the Axis Sports!!!!!!!

I like the black on black it looks simple and cool!! :D

Where's you pick it up from? Don't post the price, it's frowned upon if you didn't know.

I found it when I was on a business trip to Amsterdam recently. It had been collecting dust on the wall for a while, so they gave me 50% off. They had maybe 5 or 6 old MM's, so anyone near Amsterdam can still make a bargain.
Nice city btw...No, make that WERY nice city.

"What was the name of the shop in Amsterdam?"

Can't remember, but I think the shop was located in Rozengracht. I'll find out tomorrow.

Hmm...I thought he said "coffe break"...

"What other colors did they have?? Any thing that sparkles?? "

No sparkling colors. But I had a bad hangover that day, so I could be wrong.

I was there last week, the shop is called 'Dijkman muziek' and is indeed situated at the Rozengracht. They had a couple Silhouettes and Axis Sports, tried them all out and absolutely LOVED a blue Silo w/ floyd. Prices were 50% off, which is a lot, but you have to keep in mind that the youngest Axis Sport they had was from 1998 or so...(that one had the 'new' logo on the backplate, the others got the old logo on the backplate)

Nevertheless great to see a shop with 6 EBMMs in stock in the Netherlands! Never seen that before!

BTW Mico did you try the famous Dutch vegetables?;)

Luc, yah but even though they are older, they are considered NOS (New/Old Stock) and EBMM still waranties them for a year.

Thanx, Glenn |B)
