The second of the two Roasted Balls I purchased just arrived. This one is the Bongo 5HH. The winner of the "which 5-string should I get" POLL, by a big margin.

Actually, I decided to go after the Big Al roasted 5SSS in stock at TPB, but laneline bought it about an hour before me. So, I grabbed the Bongo using their most excellent New Years sale, and am quite happy with this specimen.

Beautiful, congratulations!

I must say, I like the Bongo even more when it sports some visible grain ... I wonder, how would it look with a (any kind from blue collar ash to fancy maple) natural top?

That's one sick looking Bongo, the Ebony board with dots and natural headstock
are a big +5, Congrats on a truly perfect Bongo and although highly unlikely, if I ever sell my BA 5 I'll make sure you know first. And I do agree with an earlier
statement by you about the finish, it is really well done and very subtle, I was concerned about the Sugar aspect. All the best

Amazing!!! Congrats PA, that's a great looking bass. I love the way the bongos with the roasted necks look. The headstock looks so nice with the ebony and then the black sugar! Breathtaking.

Great Bongo!!! I have to agree I like the look of it without the painted neck. Congrats.
