Guys I need your help once again!
A couple of hours ago I tried to record some stuff but I was getting a constant(and really annoying) buzz(bzzzzzzzzz........) whenever I hit the E string. I changed the settings on the mixer, on the compressor, the exciter etc etc but the buzz would never stop. PLease gimme some advice or I think I'm going to destroy somethin'!!!!!!

I dont know if this helps but I had a similiar problem once. Its possible that if your bass boost is on full on your bass, Your lower register notes (on the E string) are driving the speaker to hard. You could try backing your bassboost back a little and boosting your mids to compensate and see if that helps. It took me blowin a 10 in my super redhead with the B string on my stingray 5 to figure this out :( .

I've personally never used cab and heads before. I've always been a combo amp kind of guy. Anyway, I did a lil' search for you.

I hope it was some helpful information. Note how I limited the search to threads in which Aussie Mark has posted replies regarding "gain." I believe Aussie Mark knows what he's saying, so I'd go with his words on this topic.

could be that the string is to close to the pickup. try playing softer to check that possibility out. if it goes away lower the pickup.

I had the same type of problem with my amp. It turned out to be the main volume pot had a short in it and would wiggle with the vibration of the lower tones. Try touching each control knob lightly and wiggle them a little. If you hear any crackling then the pot may be bad.

Hope this helps, hang in there my brother :(
