It's an artist signature model guitar. It is what Albert Lee wants and plays. So my guess is you won't see a different production model unless he wants one. One-off artist things are different though- and who knows, maybe they'll have fun and do a experimental BFR guitar based on the Albert shape one day.

In the meantime ... lots of other guitars with two humbuckers and great necks made here (Morse, Silo, 20th Ann Silo, Axis, Axis Sport ...)

Well, wasn't the Albert Lee signature model originally called the Axis? Was it made specifically for AL, or did he pick it up as an Axis and freakin' dig it for his own? My point is why couldn't Blues have the humbucker version as his signature model?
The neck is different, the wood is different and the pups are different. It's not really an Albert Lee except for the body style. I'd order ASAP if that were ever to hapeen. Love his gold sparkle humbucker AL!

I think that's an awesome AL. I'd love one in that color and with a mirror pickguard like that. I'd also dig an AL in many of the sparkle colors that EBMM used to make like Dweezil's Stratus Blue AL or a Silver Sparkle. I don't see any of those coming back anytime soon. We did, however, have (and still do until Friday) the opportunity to get ALs in Blue Dawn. So, never say never, I guess.

I'm thinking that an HH AL is not going to happen, though, unless Albert Lee requires one like that. We did, however, have ALs with rosewood fingerboards: the Dargie Delight AL and the 2006 Limited Edition AL. So, who knows?

There is someone here, IIRC, who made his AL into an HH. I don't remember who it was, though.

I think I'd be interested. It would depend on other things like the possible introduction of a BFR AL at the same time. If there's no BFR AL, well, I'd be up for something like that.

Just call me Goldfinger. :p
