I am very happy with my PDN Morse, but before I bought it, I had been harping EBMM customer service as to whether I could have gotten a roasted maple replacement neck for my old Y2D. I figured at this point I could entertain the idea of exchanging my PDN Neptune Blue Morse Standard body for a nice quilted purple sunset burst Y2D hardtail body. I happened to have been a little more partial to the purple sunset burst quilt top.

So, I posted this in the sales and trades thread already, so here is why I am posting again here: Can a morse standard swap with a Y2D? Have there been any changes in design over the years that might prohibit the swapping between various years of these models? What other necks might be able to swap bodies? Could all of the 22 fret models swap?

I can replace any of my mods with their original parts, swap OHSC, and basically accommodate most requests. There are no scratches on the body as of yet. I will take new pictures the day before and deal is struck to make sure something hasn't nicked it between now and then.

Siddius,

Let me consider this...

I'm actually more a fan of the Standard Morse than the Y2D - and I have a quilted Sunset Purple that I would consider letting go of...

I also have a new Neptune Blue Standard Morse and could actually try the neck swap in both directions to confirm it all works...

Best of all, I'm not that far from you - just drove through Bloomington on Saturday to the old family homestead near Paoli on Saturday - and am driving back through there tomorrow/Monday. So if I test the neck swap out when I get home and all looks good then I'm sure we can arrange an in-person swap sometime soon - January 27th at the latest as I have tickets to a concert on Bloomington then.

Hope it works out well for both of us! :)
