The house bassist often shows up with this crappy, tiny, awful little cheap-ass combo, so I decided it was worth it to go pawn shopping for a cabinet I could just leave at the bar and not worry about too much.

Thus, the $150 dollar Peavey special! Beats what's there most of the time and I don't care if it smells like smoke and beer.

I was on Talkbass.com just now and i saw that you even bring the bongo there...ive never seen anyone spread the good word about the bongo like you have...i am getting one finally... very excited i played it out of my svt4pro ampeg head and 810megolith swr stack and it sounds amazing...should be here soon unless I buy one from the GC in my town...

I do happen to think - now that I've been looking at it a while in real life - that these are very good looking basses. Once you get used to it, well.....you know? Especially the "desert gold" finish. That sucker is just PURDY.
