Bongo 4 necks.

To me they feel like they're in between a Stingray and a Sterling neck. To me and my tiny hands, the Sterling is a little cramped and the Stingray feels like the strings are a little further apart than the Bongo, which is just right for me IMO.

IIRC, the nut is the same width as the Stingray. But the Bongo is definitely more comfortable. What gives?

I don't know what gives - but that is what I found as well. Which is why I only own Bongos now!!

I liked the looks first time I saw one. Something fresher than 1953. Then I was overjoyed to find the neck profile was not too large, not too small but juuuust right.

To me, it says a lot that among all the numerous kickass features & characteristics of the Bongo, the neck profile is as remarkable and noteworthy as it is, and gets this kind of attention. It's seriously cool.

PLUS, the painted satin finish on it feels great, to boot.

The Bongo 5 neck was a revelation. No matter what bass I pick up to play, I usually end up saying, "It's a nice bass, but it doesn't feel as nice as my Bongo."

And, I really enjoyed the Bongo 4 neck when I had it.

I jammed with a new group,(audition really), with 2 days to learn some songs.
Been playin infrequently lately, and with the added tension of tryin to make the grade, still got no left hand fatigue with the trusty Bongo 4 HH. (old left hand too I might add)
