w00t! it's a GLORIUS day here at the ranch.
UPS did their job. Bass Central did their job. Life is Good!
No chance to play yet but I knew Y'all were waitin' on pics. Sorry for the crummy indoor pics - I'll try to get some good ones outdoors later.
If ya think the bass is cool, wait 'til ya see the case!

What's better than a brand new Bongo 5 shipped with an Ernie Ball cleaning cloth and a silica pack?

Why of course it would be a brand new Bongo 5 shipped with an Ernie Ball cleaning cloth and TWO silica packs!:D

Aha! I KNEW I was ripped off on the silica packages! There was only one in mine, and I ate it right away.

Congrats, that is a fine looking example of a BoNgo. I do love that finish (and voted brown tort although I have no clue how that would really look).

So what do you think of the bridge humbucker? Gets really snarly and angry, don't it? And the single coil brings it all back to Planet Earth.

Congratulations once again and welcome to the Borg....errrr, Brotherhood of Bongo.

Very nice! It's got an eerie but beautiful glow to it... Maybe it's just the lighting in that room? Hehheh... I personally think Bongos should come in more colors, like Autumn Red that's available on the StingRay.

Anyway, I hope you have fun with that thing! What'd make this all complete would be nice sound recordings, but that's just wishful thinking, eh? :p

Wow. I thought that bass was nice at Bass Central's website. It looks even better in your pics. I can't wait to see it in the sun!

What do you think of the single coil?

I really like it so far. I'm told that the H/SC combo is a little more refined than the H/H combo. I can use a little more refinement in my life.:p I think the biggest thing that makes the sound is the hi-mid and low-mid knobs. You can make HUGE changes to the sound with just those two knobs.:p

Calling for rain all weekend :( so outdoor pics next week!
