I've had a Bongo 6 for a few months since last year now...got it second hand off the web, and I noticed that the neck seems to be very sensitive to any type of temperature change. Originally when I got it I took it to a tech as the action was too high, and the truss rod wouldnt budge anymore. He did a great job with it and I was able to get the action to where I wanted it but the neck still tends to shift almost every day and I have to keep adjusting the truss rod

That was all fine and dandy for a while but I noticed last night that I had to give it an extra bit of adjustment, and I found that the truss rod got pretty hard to turn. It helped the action some but it still isnt quite where I want it, and I don't want to give the truss rod any more turns, as I dont think I even can!

The weird thing is that only the Bongo 6 seems to do that. I have a Fender Jazz, MM Stingray and Sterling, and I had two Ibanez basses (one was a 6er) that had pretty stable necks. I havent had to adjust the necks on any of my other basses as of yet.

So is this common with the Bongo 6? Is the neck on them that unstable or did I get a lemon? Thanks!

You might want to call customer service, they are awesome... You'll probably hear this from other members too! You should be able to give them a call tomorrow.

Yeah definitely cal CS. I am going to be doing the same thing tomorrow as well because I also have questions on the truss wheel. I know the Bongo 6's are great basses though. If I played 6 string, that would be my choice.

My Bongo 6's neck is rock solid stable. I've had it almost 2 years new, and it only needs 1/4 turn at most, seasonally. I agree, customer service should be able to help you. And if you have any Bongo 6 problems, I'm no expert but feel free to PM me.

I've had hot as hell days and ridiculous humidity to absolutely freezing here in Australia and it has only gone out very slightly, small turn of the truss rod and it was back to shredding! These things are as hard as rock!
