the bongo got a great outing on the CMA awards last night w/ kenny chesney.
also ..they showed an preview clip .....must have been a dozen times or so ...of rascal flatts w/ a really cool al right in front. too bad the ding dong used a gibson on the actual performance. the singer had to be ill.

Yea, it was an MM90 AL that was in the promo, a still shot of which was seen at just about every commercial break, but it didn't get the live gig love.

Rascal flatts is on my list for life I think they are bad 80's rock/lounge singers We worked with them forever and then they hit and dumped us... the duet with jamie fox was just disgusting....

Tommy,

Yeah, nice the "Bongo" got some quality air time!! I would have preferred it be the Axis, but, who's complaining!

Oh well, there's always next year!!:)

Yes, that was a low point for sure. I didn't get it at all. Even Rascal's mic technique was way off on that one.

You know the only reason I ever paid attention to RF's is that several years ago I was flipping through the channels, and I saw some guy playing a EBMM Axis of some sort. So I stop and gave a listen. Wasn't too impressed with the music, but there seemed to be a lot of EBMM guitars onstage, so I watched it all the way through. I gathered at the time they were an up and coming band.

I also noticed that by the time they were a big name, they were sporting Gibson's. Not too cool in my book.

Aside from the vocals, they didn't play 'live' on the CMA's. I suggest you watch the first song closely. I've been told that only 9 out of the 22 performers actually played 'live.' And yes, the song with Jamie Foxx was very bad.

the singer was in deep **** !!!!!!
vocally .....they got smoked REAL bad.
one thing i LOVE about the cma's is the TOTALLY live un doctored mix.
the tune was VERY corny.....but little big town's vocal harmonies were amazing & flawless.
alot of the bands are live.

I think they kick you out of Nashville if you're a musician and don't play Gibson. My days are probably numbered in this town. :D

I have seen RF's guitarist use alot of different brands, EBMM included. But he always sems to go back to the gibsons . . .his choice.
