I've been watching this Bongo auction (just out of curiosity  ) and it seems to be going strong with a couple of days left. The secondary market is so weird. You don't usually see Bongos go for much more than eight bills, but this one is doing well. I'm thinking it's because of the HS combination as it's usually an HH that's out there.

Go Bongo! Oh here's the LINK .

Man, what's up with all Bongos I see have banged up headstocks? Do people lose their sense of distance when they play one, or do the headstocks have a magnet for corners and low ceilings? :p

They get nicked up from the ceiling debris that inevitably falls when a note gets plucked on a Bongo. :D

Mine collected a nick on the end of the head stock. I don't recall hitting the headstock on anything. Must be like Steve B says things fall when the Bongo sounds off.

Be sure to isolate a Bongo inside the case so it doesn't slide around inside the case which allows the point of the headstock to hit the inside of the case when moving around.
