hey im looking at the details for shipping a bongo 5.... was wondering if you all knowledgeable guys had the weight of bass and case, and the length width depth of the case...that way the company can take all my money and get me my bongo in a few days.

thanks

let me guess...this is the bass that bassmonkey bought at guitar center this week....

Nope. The person I offered to sell it to didn't get the approval from their significant other.

This one is, in all likelihood, staying in the state of Georgia.

bassmonkeee I hope you dont think that I disapprove of your transactions...I dont Im happy for you and whoever..

Thanks, BP. I would have been a fool not to buy this amazing bass at this price--even if I end up not keeping it, and pass the savings along to someone else.

I just wish GC would be a bit more varied in their inventory. Has a single H Bongo even gone to any of the GCs in the country? They need to shoot their national buyer--he's lazy.

I like that guy because he only orders certain things...basic bread & butter finishes etc...I kill him in Lakland sales because they only order limited colors & options and I order everything.

To answer your question about shipping a Bongo 5 in a hardshell down under the package size exceeds US Postal Air Mail size limitations so you will have to go with another carrier such as FedEx or UPS Air which will cost you about $300 or more to ship.

US Air Mail would only cost you about $100 to ship it but you'd have to remove the neck and ship the bass in a smaller package and lose the case.

Dont you understsand that this is how you compete with Guitar Center. They will stock the best sellers and you take care of the diehards.

I understand it all too well BP. My customers are like a waiter's bad dream...hold the X, extra Y on the side and double Z's if you please.

I much prefer it that way...keeps things interesting. Any schmuck in a polo shirt and a name tag can ask "Uhhh you want sunburst or black? Maple or Rosewood?"

If I wanted a job I'd sure as hell go get one that pays about 5 times the money in a heartbeat.
