Love it - both of them, actually - but the Bongo a little bit more since it sooo begs for bright colours, and really shines when it wears an upfront paint job!

I really hope we'll see some fresh finishes for summer NAMM ... the used market sometimes offers nice looking Bongo 4s, and there's always the slightly mad option to book a flight to florida, but then I'd really prefer to be able to get my hands on a new (and warranted) instrument, given the price.

Well, one can hope, right? *sigh*

Thanks! I think I remember not having the cash when yours came up for sale...

Give it some time! It will come! Just keep playing it instead of your fretted basses whenever you can for a couple of months. Fretless is such a great tone to add to your arsenal!

PS: Don't look at the lines too much but listen instead. I also found playing to some CDs easier than playing all alone.

Gorgeous - that green is both flashy and earthy. Are the martini inlays gin or vodka?
