I'm planning to string my Bongo to EADGC but before I buy the strings, I just wanna ask if anyone tried tuning a Bongo EADGC and the nut has to be changed to compensate for the string gauge.

I definately do not not want to change my Bongo' nut yet (chopping up a less-than-2-year-old Music Man's a crime D:)

I only use Warwick Black Labels and their high C 5 string sets are either 025-105 or 020-100.

I've tuned my Bongo EADGC without any problem in the past and without changing the nut.

You'll probably have to tighten the truss rod to compensate for the higher tension of the C string, and adjust the intonation, but that's about it.

Yeah I know I definately have to set it up after restringing, was just worried about the nut. Thanks dude.
