Looked in the Bass FAQ and did a forum search, but didn't find what I'm looking for. Apologies if this info is out there...

Can anyone tell me what the four frequency centers are for the Bongo EQ?

The FAQ describes the 3-band EQ on other EBMM basses, with the frequencies of the three bands at 40 Hz, 500 Hz and 12 kHz. But it says nothing about the Bongo.

I'm askiing because I recently revisited my amp and instrument EQ settings, and I find that I'm boosting my mids a whole lot...cranking it to the max for certain songs, even. Sounds great with my particular rig and I can just run with it the way it is, but I generally object to extreme control settings on principle.

Since my BassPOD (which I'm using as a preamp) has a built-in semiparametric EQ, I might as well use it. It'd be helpful to know what frequencies I'm boosting on my Bongo so I can try replicating the result.

Hey Andrew, here are the center frequencies for Bongos:

Bass = 40 Hz
Low Mid = 400 Hz
High Mid = 2.5KHz
Treble = 6.3KHz

I saved that info after finding it some time ago in an old thread. Hope it helps.

Exactly what I need. Thanks!!!!

This place is great. Where else on the planet can you ask a technical question at 1 am and get a definitive answer in ten minutes? :D
And from another continent! :cool:

Bongo EQ frequency centers?

There used to be one on 47th and 8th in Manhattan, but I think they turned it into a YMCA.
