So I am really interested in the Bongo 4 string. What I am trying to find out is the fret width starting on the E string with the F note, and ending on the Fourth fret the D note. I really like this bass, but would like the dimentions to be close to the bass I have now, so I can slide right into it with little to no addjustments to it! Thanks to anyone who could help me with this!!!

The distance between frets on a 34" scale bass is the same no matter what the brand. (It has to be, otherwise the instrument would not play in tune!) A bass using jumbo fret wire could have a fret that's 1/16" wide vs. a thinner fret wire, but the difference in fret-wire thickness is insignificant when you're down on the first five frets.

On your existing bass, measure the distance from the nut to the bridge (the point where the strings actually cross the bridge). If it's 34" (or very close thereto), then your fret spacing is the same as all of the MusicMan basses---which use a 34" scale length.

Typical scale lengths for basses are 30", 32", 34" and 35", with 34" being the most common.
