Somebody should grab that design as the basis of their Sig. guitar... Maybe someone on the rise... or hey, how about Buckethead? The Bongo's such a cool Bass, and would make a fantastic sig guitar for the right player...

More I watch it, more I like it :)

The traditionnalists will dislike it, but if the sound is good, the playability is good it is good for me ...
If all the guitarists were blind, I am sure the sale figures of the different brands would be different !

It's a prototype, done when they were working on the Bongo bass. MM does lots of prototypes that never make it to production.

Paraphrasing BP on the subject of a Bongo guitar ... "it ain't ever going to happen".

My two cents!

I think they should throw that into production and put two tele style pickups in! The Twang-King pickups would stay in fashion with DiMarzio as the pickup brand of choice, and it'd sound stellar. A 24 fret tele-ish guitar would slay!

Nevermind the guitar, who's that dude holding it? :p

Restricted access to the upper frets.. are you insane? The 24th fret is AT the friggin' neck joint!

I thought it was a fun proto.. too bad it didn't get any pickups... might have barked a bit less.

I didn't even see it ending at the neck joint... it looked like it went down a little bit further and i didn't take the time to count the frets...

No worries, Peter.. I hope my post didn't come across as harsh because I was just going for silly and incredulous.. I just re-read it and it didn't go over as I'd hoped.

"U-G-L-Y-! It Ain't got no alibi!" :D

Okay, maybe not ugly, but certainly not for me. And with guitar players the way they are - that ain't ever gonna sell, IMHO. Of course, I could be wrong. Have been at least once before. Each day of my life.
