Never tried other pu config on the bongo, but HH is killer. It sounds bigger than the other H basses I've tried.

yesterday I tried:

bongo 6 HS
bongo 4 HH
bongo 5 H

(and sterling 5)

HH is the hottest, both very clean and fat
HS is the smoothest
H has a growl to the sound that I loved similar to the HH with both pu active but unique

since I'll add also Piezo I choose the single H, growly and greasy.

(the sterling 5 was amazing: compact and easy to handle with a very "in your face" suond, super fast attack - maple board)

andrea

p.s.

B string was killer in all basses.

That is exactly what I want, single H/piezo. All the tone of the single H, but more versatile. That said, the single H sound fits perfect in every style of music.
